Postcard #5 My last meal

This is what I am doing here

My last meal, hmmm, now let me think....ok here goes...

Nibbles
Mixed olives stuffed with garlic and almonds
Bruschetta with olive oil
Avocado and mozzarella salad
and a bottle of South African 5th Avenue Cold Duck pink sparkling wine (cheapo stuff but I always loved this when I lived in SA)to have throughout my meal

Starter
A goats cheese and caramelised onion tart
Side salad of rocket & asparagus with parmesan dressing

Main
Tofu Thai curry and rice

Dessert
Pecan pie with dolloping's of freshly whipped cream
and a pot of English tea

What would yours be?

ps. Having written this I can think of loads more food, it's almost impossible for a foodie like me to choose! Oh, and I am greedy for delicious food, hence all the courses.

  2. Oh that is a tough one, but my husband makes and artichoke/shrimp pasta I could die for.

  3. I'm not sure that I could narrow down a last meal! Love the way you have given yourself so many courses so you can cover lots of choices. Hope that you never need to select a last meal, but have fun choosing your next one. xx

  5. lets lets see...it is quite difficult because I like food but being the last meal I would have to choose something I really like and don't have very often:

Tapas: Live clams washed down with Marques de Monistrol white wine,
    baby asparagus in batter

Fish cazuela but only if I can have it on Tabarca Island where it is is so yummy.

Steamed chocolate pudding the way my mother used to make it with Devonshire clotted cream on top

and a cup of PG Tips

however I totally agree with Amy....I hope we never have to choose a last meal!!!

    keep well

    Amanda :-)

  6. My goodness, Pen, I worried when I read your header!! Hmmm, probably, possibly many of the things you have mentioned , though sea-food would feature strongly too. And no pecan pie for me, lemon meringue or Eton Mess. Sigh, you've got my mouth watering now, drat! Lx

  8. a three course meal and nibbles, that's so glamorous and grown up. I feel like I have totally lost touch with food and glamour and now eat food full of compromises. I can only stare at your menu in awe!......must remember what it is I like! Heather x

  11. Such a great post! I would gladly and happily eat all of this - although I might swap the tofu for prawns for the main, given that I'm a meat and fish eater. And there would be plenty of wine. :-) xx

  12. Wonderful foods. Have to say though, whatever I chose I'm not convinced I'd be able to eat it if I knew it was my last meal. I think I must just be horribly unimaginative because I loved reading the replies here but can't come up with one of my own!
