Weekend plans

Little blog, there is so much to write and show here but I need to prioritise where I spend my free time at the moment, so I'm just giving you a little peek into my plans for the weekend.

Lavender and Earl Grey cake with copious cups of tea

Crochet fingerless gloves for a special friend

Time with my girly while Andy carries on with making an awful necessary mess whilst painting decorating

Sewing some vintage buttons I chose this morning, onto a couple of cardigans

And embellishing a bag I am making with this, also purchased this morning

I am choosing to not put the dreary and drab bits of house work, homework, doing the laundry etc. on here because on this here blog I can pretend can't I  :o)

Happy creative days everyone

  4. Your weekend just sounds lovely, the cake looks delicious, the yarn, the buttons, lovely, lovely!

Who wants to think about ironing, housework, and the mundane? Not me, that's for sure!

    Have a relaxing, time-standing-still, fab weekend.x

  6. Ha Penelope! I'm with you pretending housework doesn't exist! your plans look fab - I could just eat that slice of cake with its tooth-achinly gorgeous icing! As I did all the 'work' yesterday, sorting my mum out, shopping, clearing out my sewing room - YES!! I can with a clear conscience pratt about with fabrics, threads, books etc and do something creative now I have a clear table top to work on. I got a shock when I saw all the buttons - I thought for a minute this was your button stash!

  12. Isn't it lovely to just write and show pics of the prettiness in our lives instead of the mundane stuff! But in saying that - it's really nice to know that nearly everyone has a big pile of washing waiting to be folded just like I do!! I have loved every bit of this post - your photos are stunning. The pic of all the buttons has made me green with envy.

    Have a fab week hon.
