inspires me; encourages me; feeds my need for creativity; enables me to meet like minded people; it's an escape from the stresses of everyday life and generally is good for my mental health and well being... how about you?
So, today a little ta dah moment, I'm am going to show you my finished Japanese Flower Scarf which I started making here having been inspired by Lucy from Attic 24 fame. In total I made 16 flowers from all my left over purple stash.
I crocheted them together 2 by 2 petals
It's rather snug despite all the hooky holes (excuse the rubbish photo of me I had just woken up and there was little light!)
It's long enough to wrap round at least twice and shows off the flowery goodness on your neck like a pretty necklace
I'm rather pleased with this very quick and easy make which will be wrapped up and given to one of my lovely girl friends.
So, now I'm onto my next few projects I've lined up and look forward to seeing all of your makes and happenings. Can I leave you with a couple of photographs I took on Saturday when the sun was merry and bright?
Some old fisherman's boats in Hastings Old Town peeling away in the sunshine, I just love the whole fishing history behind this town and am fascinated by the old boats sitting on the pebbles wondering what adventures they have been on in their lives
Have a wonderful mid-february week xox
The scarf is beautiful I'm sure your friend will love it.ReplyDelete
Hi Penelope , love the scarf . It looks great on. I'm having an unexpected day at home today and finishing a project I'll blog later.ReplyDelete
I was thinking about the whole bloggy thing yesterday. Showing stuff you've made and bought and seen to people you don't really know . Seems a bit like showing off or looking for praise sometimes . But I think it's just a great way to share ideas with likeminded folks . It is creative in it's self , writing the posts and taking the pictures .
I frequently feel guilty about spending time writing posts but it is so enjoyable and a positive experiance that I can't see myself stopping anytime soon.
Lovely scarf and the photos of Hastings are fabulous. Hastings is one of my favourite places to visit when the weather is good enough of course!ReplyDelete

Beautiful scarf, looks great on too - I agree with you on the reasons for blogging, I try not to think too deeply about it or I end up feeling like a total egomaniac, all I know is it gives me enjoyment. Take care Elaine xxReplyDelete

Penelope the scarf is just beautiful!!! I love it and have been highly inspired by yours!ReplyDelete
Your friend will adore it.
I agree with you about the blogging, it is so inpsiring and really, it's about sharing our passions with people who understand! I don't think it's a showing off thing, but very much about sharing our excitement, which we get great vibes from! Let's face it, not many people in the real world understand our joy at finding half price wool!!! :O)
Wonderful scarf, nice work! And those photos of the fishing boats are beautiful, thanks for sharing. :)ReplyDelete
