Brrrrrr (ighton)

On a cold, wet, blustery Sussex Saturday day, what better to do than get out of bed early and head off to Brighton and see your 11 year old in the Brighton Festival Children's Parade. Alice, loved every bit of walking through the Brighton lanes dressed with a zebra on her head rumbling through the jungle with her school mates.

Despite the freezing cold weather we had good fun, soaking up the festive atmosphere, listening to the beat of drums and kids singing. Followed by some good old fashioned fish and chips, a little shopping and our favourite lick yoghurt ice-cream.

As for the daily sea swimmers... well what can I say!

Hope you are all having a fab weekend come rain or shine. I now have the delightful task of sorting out my loft space. Ok, so I still haven't stored the Christmas tree and decorations away yet, there have been more interesting yarny things to do :0)

Happy days
See you all soon

Oh, and welcome to all those newbies to my blog and thanks for following, I feel a give away coming on soon!

  1. It looks very vibrant and fun, despite the cold!

  2. Despite the weather Brighton as ever looks colourful and fun - must plan another trip down there very soon :)

  3. Looks like a fabulous day despite the chilly weather!

  4. So much colour, even on a cold, grey day. And she does look like she's having fun :D

  5. Wow, look at all those colours, surely cheers up a cold day hey?! I love the paper mâché dragonfly.

It's cold here too, we've been lighting a fire at night as we have no oil, but that's been rather a treat. I've toyed with the idea of becoming a daily swimmer, it's supposed to be good for your health....

The attic things can wait, yarny things are far more pressing!

  6. Looks like a wonderful day, despite the gray skies. You wouldn't catch me in the cold water, but fish and chips...YES!

  7. Brighton is so fab - whatever the weather! xxxxx

  8. Hi Penelope, That does look soooooooooooo cold!! Especially the sea! Being a Yorkshire lass, the happy sign "Fish and Chips and Mushy Peas" gets my money every time :0)
I'm hopping up to your bit of sunshine now .....
