Other people's words

"the less I needed, the better I felt."

charles bukowski

Clover flowering in our front wall.

I am one of those kinds of people that feel what other people write, wishing that I had come up with their profound words, but accepting that I am not particularly gifted in this way and feeling satisfied that being human is enough for me to feel what they write.

So, there will be moments on my blog which feature other people's words on how I am feeling.

Thanks

  1. Many, many of us are not gifted with those words that we wish to have. Me included, but aren't we gifted to take those words into our heart and to be expanded by them, to share them with others and to give thanks to those who do. Where would we be without those lovely and life giving words?
    Thank you.

  2. Not clover, but an equally invasive plant called Oxalis, I think... it has very pretty flowers, but you need to keep an eye on it as the roots will go deep into the wall and the mortar will suffer. But it looks as if yours is a dry-stone wall, so no need to worry!

  4. Oh Penny... you have no idea how much I needed this! I need to scale back, to be uncluttered, to make room. Not just in my physical surroundings but within myself. I am so glad I popped by today. Hazel x

  6. It's a great sentiment and very wise words. I always think everyone else says things better than I do. You write beautifully Penny because you write from the heart. x
